Green Thumbs Up for Sustainability

February 4, 2014 – Edmonton – The Shaw Conference Centre (SCC) officially unveiled its new Sustainability Wall, which showcases a vibrant vertical garden by local horticulture company Greenjeans. The garden adds colour and visual interest to its location on the pedway level across from Hall D. In addition to the garden, the wall highlights a number of sustainable initiatives at the SCC and throughout the City of Edmonton.

SCC Achieves BOMA BESt Certification

January 21, 2014 – Edmonton — The Shaw Conference Centre, already known for its commitment to operational excellence and sustainability, has achieved BOMA BESt Level 2 certification from the Building Owners and Managers Association (BOMA). BESt stands for Building Environmental Standards and represents the highest levels of environmental best practices in Canada’s commercial real estate industry.
